Subacute and chronic low back pain

Subacute and chronic low back pain

Clinical study: Massage for lower back pain.

Research:

Thirteen randomized trials were included in this systematic review.

Results:

The results suggest that massage may be beneficial for patients with subacute and chronic nonspecific low back pain, particularly when combined with exercise and education. However, further studies are needed to confirm these conclusions, evaluate the effects of massage on return to work, and determine the cost-effectiveness of massage as an intervention for low back pain.
